Thanks From Our Patients and Parents

Anderson

2 ½ years old

“He always was falling down. I’m a single mother and I work and it is difficult and hard as a mother. First I want to thank God and then you doctors. Oh, how I would like to thank you in person for what you are doing. This is a poor city and if it wasn’t for you and what you do we would have no hope of being here at the hospital”

His Mother

Andy

“It is difficult for me as a mom watching my son fall so much. It has also been hard because I want to take him places but I can’t unless I carry him but he’s getting too big. I thank God for allowing my dreams to come true thought his opportunity. First and foremost I thank God and you. I am very thankful for this opportunity.”

His Mother

Gabriel

11 years old

“Life has been hard, I have to go everywhere on my bicycle. It would make me so happy to be able to walk. It is so good that you come to cure us. I ask God to bless you, and I am happy you came here.”

From Herself

Luis

11 months old

“He hasn’t been able to move around well. He always wants to run out and play with the other children, but he can’t. So instead he’ll chase after them crawling because it’s all he can do. It is hard to watch that as a mom. First I want to thank you. An operation like this would cost a lot of money, money that I don’t have. This is an operation that I could never get for him on his own. I thank God and I thank you for giving my child the ability to walk.”

His Mom

Juana

6 years old

“I really want her to go to school. Because the school is so far away, I haven’t had the ability to send her to school. I really want her to learn. (She started to cry) I count myself blessed and happy that you are doing this surgery. Thank you.”

“I found out a while ago that my son had some type of stroke resulting in problems with his vision and partial paralysis of his foot. We as parents have done a lot trying to help him, so many different procedures. It has been hard though, it almost feels like we have been experimenting on our son, trying to find out what works and what doesn’t. We decided to pray to obtain the means to go to the United States and have him be operated on up there but with time we realized that we could never afford the trip. But it has turned out that instead of needing to go up there to find help, help came to us. Thank God for that. Thank you doctors. I imagine that leaving work and family is a difficult sacrifice, but thank you … thank you so much”

His Dad

Brian

“Looking at my son’s twisted feet was very difficult for me, it truly hurt me. I want to thank you for operating on my son. With faith, I pray that he’ll be able to walk.  I can’t say enough “thank yous.”

His Mom

Elsi

4 years old

“It has been so hard. I have taken my daughter to the hospital and it is difficult to see your daughter struggle so much. All I can say is thank you. I thank God and you. A surgery of this type would have cost 30,000 empiras. I don’t have that much money. Our nation is so poor, and does not have the resources’ to help someone so poor like myself. Thank you for the noble work you do. Keep coming, the people are very happy because of the help you have offered.”

Her Mom

From Himself

“Before the surgery I couldn’t walk very much. I would get horrible pains in my foot and back. Thank you so much for what you have done, for helping me to walk and taking away that pain. Thank you for the operation.”

From Him

“As a child he couldn’t walk very well, which was hard to watch. We never imagined that such help existed. We thank you for the great work and service you do.”

His Dad

“There really aren’t words to express the gratitude and happiness we feel towards you.”

His Mom

Maryuri

“My daughter has wanted a surgery for a while, but I haven’t had the money. I couldn’t afford the surgery. My friend heard about the organization on the radio and I was admitted. I am so thankful for the work that you do.”

Her Mom

Alma

6 years old

“When my granddaughter walked for a while her foot would hurt her. Seeing that hurt me because I love her. Often at night time I would sit next to her bed and massage her foot, sometimes I would fall asleep next to her as I massaged her feet. I would always wake up at night hoping that her foot was better but it never was. I thank you a thousand times for helping my little girl. I pray that God will bless you and give you even more wisdom. A thousand thanks.”
